Fun go to when I dont know what to eat. Yummy box has a bit of everything across the asian spectrum - more so on the Korean side with bibimbap, kalbi and kimchi fried rice. They also have loco moco! Love their lunch plates - hearty serving of meat with 3 sides and rice but some of them are pricey ($15-28!!) Their additional sides are affordable and pretty big portions so sometimes I get 1 or 2 of those to help stretch the meal into 2 portions. Small restaurant - think order-at-counter to-go type place next to a gas station. Theres usually parking right in front.
"Such delicious food and generous servings! The chicken wings were juicy with a perfect amount of meat and had a satisfying crunch on the outside--definitely a standout. The pork was incredibly tender and flavorful, just melt-in-your-mouth yum. I also really appreciated the extra sides that came with the meal; the macaroni salad and japchae were great complements to the main dishes. The casual, laid-back vibe of the place makes it perfect for a quick lunch break, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back soon to try more of their menu!
We went here for lunch, we tried the Korean fried chicken plate and garlic fried chicken plate. Both were amazing! You get 7 wings, some rice, macaroni salad, cold noodles and radish kimchi. The macaroni salad was our least favorite part, just could have used some more seasoning, that's just our preference. We also got a spam masubi. It was good, could've used a little more sauce on one half of it. But overall, not bad! Will definitely be going back to try more.
Korean fast food. They also had poke. There was just one guy behind the counter taking orders. He was fast and efficient. The tables were clean. Everything tasted good and fresh. Nice portions.
Wasn't expecting a lot walking in given how it looked online but I was proven wrong off the rip. When u walk in and the first thing you see in big letters is meat jun, katsu curry and Hawaiian sun cans not aloha made I knew this place was legit. Prices are super cheap and the guy behind the counter got our order out so fast. Plates are stacked to the ceiling and beat any places I had growing up especially with nailing the texture of meat jun that no one really does right even in Hawaii. Musubis are also fat and seasoned correctly tasting like the potlucks of old. Overall if it wasn't for Vegas this place would be my #1 . Easily makes our return list when we move!
Love this unassuming hole in the wall! Service is great, the person who helped me was super friendly and helped with recommendations. I got the bbq chicken and soy garlic chicken today- both were super fresh and tasty! I love variety so I'm happy each plate comes with three sides: Mac salad, jap chae and soy potatoes. Their cucumber kimchi is more on the sweet side, which works great for me since I'm a spice weenie. Give this hole in the wall a chance- you won't regret it!
Ambiance: 10/10 Service : 10/10 Food : 10/10 If I were to pick a poke and Korean and Hawaiian store to eat, I would go to Yummy Kitchen. Ambiance is quiet and peaceful which is very nice. It looks like a take out restaurant but you can also dine in. Service was great and friendly. Food was amazing. Never I had something like this before and this is my first time. We ordered a side of shrimp tempura, salmon poke, and one order of Chicken teriyaki and Garlic Fried chicken rice platter. Each rice platter comes with small sides (banchan = small side dishes). It comes with Mac salad, japchae, radish kimchi, sweet potatoes. Everything was 10/10000000!! Definitely will come back for more!!
I like me some Korean fried chicken, kimchi fried rice, and musubis, so I came here to try all three. I couldn't decide between the Garlic Fried Chicken and the Korean Fried Chicken. The guy was very nice, and let me do half and half. The chicken was good, good flavor, but I would've liked it to be more crispy. The musubi and kimchi fried rice were also good. Would come back to try more things if in the area.
Pretty solid Korean and Asian fusion restaurant located near the Renton industrial commercial area. This place is in a small strip mall next to a gas station. Pretty easy access and ample parking. Lots of things to choose from. This time I opted for the bulgogi plate. This combo comes with two scoops of rice, side of Mac salad, japchae noodles, boiled potatoes, and of course, the bulgogi. The meat flavor was a great balance of sweet and salty. The beef was cut up into small bit size pieces which I enjoyed mixing in with the rice. The japchae noodles were deliciously flavored. I was pleasantly surprised how good this was. Reminded me of something my mom used to make. Mac salad was solid and the potatoes were cooked in a similar sauce flavor to the bulgogi. What an overall solid plate lunch. Gonna come back to try the Katsu.
I'm always a tad bit skeptical when an Asian establishment aims to serve different types of cuisines. So with Yummy Kitchen's broad menu of Korean and Hawaiian food, my eyebrows immediately raised. But to be honest, the food here is quite decent. No, it won't blow you away, but it's not bad. I got the BBQ chicken plate and my wife got the Katsu plate. Hands down, I would definitely recommend the katsu plate. The katsu was quite good with a delicious crunch, and the breading wasn't too thick. Both plates also serve a generous portion of rice and macaroni, and the glass noodles on the side was great too. The menu is pretty vast, so definitely find something that tickles your fancy! It's too bad that we don't live that close to Renton, but if we're ever in the area craving some Hawaiian food, Yummy Kitchen will hit the spot.
